What factors in precision CNC machining will cause deformation of parts?

2024-07-04

When precision CNC processing plants produce products, small mistakes made by operators often cause product deformation, thus affecting the production efficiency of the company. So how to reduce the deformation of mechanical parts in CNC machining? Let's take a look.

Heat treatment processing: For precision CNC machining of parts, due to various reasons, the product is prone to bending after heat treatment. On the one hand, there will be bulges in the middle and the plane deviation will increase. This is caused by improper operation of the operator, but this situation rarely occurs in our company; on the other hand, due to the influence of various external factors, the fixture is bent. These deformation problems are not only due to the change of internal stress after heat treatment, but also because the operator's professional knowledge is weak and lacks understanding of the structural stability of the product, which increases the probability of part deformation. It is also important to read the drawings accurately and carefully and process mechanical parts according to the drawings.

Clamping too tight: Auxiliary tools are often used to clamp products during precision CNC machining. In order to avoid vibration during CNC machining of products, this method is adopted, but some similar heat treatment situations will also occur. At this time, adjust the clamping force according to the position of the clamping point to increase the contact area between the clamp and the workpiece as much as possible. This treatment will be much better, thus reducing the deformation of precision CNC machining.

Tool cutting: Due to the lack of rigidity of the product or tool, the product is thicker on the top and thinner on the bottom due to the influence of cutting force, which is called the feeding phenomenon. The way to deal with this phenomenon is to increase the sharpness of the blade and reduce the friction resistance between the blade and the workpiece.
